LPS - Lightning Protection System (SE-P-16910)

Purpose
The overall aim of the course is to enable the participants to perform retrofit and replacement of the elements included in the Lightning Protection System (LPS). All tasks must be performed in accordance with application with applicable work instructions and correct documentation.

Objectives
Upon completion of the course the participant must be able to:

• - Remove old lightning receptors
• - Prepare hole for new receptor, including measurement (Megger test) and cleaning
• - Mount new receptor, including assessment of the correct position
• - Seal the new receptor to complete replacement
• - Perform retrofit of the lightning root terminal with a socket screw solution
• - Complete replacement of old root terminal with a cover solution
• - Perform relevant documentation with photo card and checklist, whenever required in this operation (stated in each module and in the work instructions).

Who should attend?
The course is intended for all blade technicians working for SGRE, performing the LPS task, including receptor replacement for all types of blades, root terminal retrofit and replacement; plus, conductivity (Megger test) or similar according to Work instructions for the specific blade.

SE-P-20900 EPOXY Safety DK
SE-P-16950 Spot Paint OR UP-9702 Spot Paint
